Southampton charity Sunwalk with Design presenters Colin & Justin

Participants in Southampton’s charity Celebrity Sunwalk taking place in April had better dress up to the nines – or risk the wrath of design duo Colin and Justin.

The cheeky TV presenters will join the thousands wearing specially decorated bras for the power-walking challenge … and are promising to be at their outrageous best to keep the crowds entertained.

Colin and Justin, last seen battling the bugs in the Australian jungle on the ITV hit I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here, will get festivities under way by starting the sponsored walk, as well as encouraging entrants taking on the 5km and 10km courses.  The duo will also be part of the inaugural celebrations taking place in Mayflower Park, introducing a number of music and entertainment acts, as well announcing raffle and competition prizes live from the stage.

The first ever Celebrity SunWalk sponsored by Celebrity Cruises takes place in Southampton on 24 April 2010 and is organised by Walk the Walk, the leading UK-based grant making breast cancer charity, in partnership with Celebrity Cruises. The event coincides with the launch of the latest ship from Celebrity Cruises, Celebrity Eclipse, which will be named in the city on the same day.

Colin commented: “We’ll certainly be on the lookout for the best dressed walkers, so all you girls and guys should make sure your bras really impress. We want glitz, glamour and sparkle – these events are a celebration of life so there is no room for understatement.”

The walk will start in Mayflower Park, and Celebrity Eclipse, the brand new Solstice Class ship from Celebrity Cruises, will form a magnificent backdrop for the finish line, prior to the afternoon naming ceremony. It is the first ship from Celebrity Cruises to be based from the port and will be dedicated to the UK market until November 2010. Places for the walk are still available, please visit

As the event’s official MCs Colin and Justin will play a major part in keeping walkers and spectators entertained, and will be mingling with the crowds to ensure everything goes with a swing. The pair will also be joining the thousands expected to fill Mayflower Park on the day for what is promising to be a fun-packed programme of festivities.

Celebrity Eclipse is scheduled to arrive in Southampton on 20 April 2010. The ship will be named in the city on 24 April 2010.

Onboard features on the new ship include a real grass lawn at the Lawn Club, a glassblowing show and studio developed with The Corning Museum of Glass; 10 unrivalled dining venues, and widely varied entertainment, including shows with breathtaking aerial acts.
