Seabourn Sojourn sails into London through the Thames Barrier

I am pleased to say that Lisa from The Cruise Village we be meeting the Seabourn Sojourn on her arrival into London today. Lisa will be reporting back for the blog next week and I look forward to hearing all about this beautiful new luxury vessel.
The Yachts of Seabourn’s highly anticipated new yacht Seabourn Sojourn navigated the River Thames and arrived at Greenwich at 06:30 with the early morning sun. Sojourn is the second of three new luxury cruising vessels joining Seabourn’s fleet in three years. She will be moored mid-river for two days of inaugural celebrations before departing on her Maiden voyage on 6 June 2010.
Cllr Chris Roberts, Leader of Greenwich Council, said "With its wealth of historical maritime connections and excellent transport links to Europe and international destinations, Greenwich is a fitting location for the Yachts of Seabourn to launch its new ship. In Greenwich we are working to secure berths for two international cruise liner terminals so that we can welcome more international visitors to our borough, particularly during the Olympics. We hope Greenwich will be a regular destination for Seabourn Sojourn and wish all those who sail on her a safe journey."

The 225-suite yacht offers an extraordinary travel experience, notable for its relaxed, sociable ambiance and highly personalized, intuitive service. The vessel offers the highest space per guest ratio in the industry, accommodating no more than 450 guests in spacious, ocean view suites, 90 percent of which have private verandas. Guests will savor culinary experiences and five-star dining at Sojourns four dining venues; The Restaurant, Restaurant 2, the indoor/outdoor Colonnade and the Patio Grill. The dining venues, as well as the six bars and lounges, serve a full range of beverages, including fine wines and spirits, with Seabourn’s compliments. In addition to this, Sojourn hosts the largest spa on a luxury vessel and provides the ultimate pampering experience at sea.
British supermodel and fashion icon Twiggy will officially name the vessel during a glittering ceremony on this evening. On the following day, Seabourn has donated Sojourn to the non-profit organization, Breast Cancer Haven, as the venue for a gala fundraising event to celebrate the charity’s 10th anniversary.
For a limited time, Seabourn is offering two for one cruise fares including flights, or cruise only fares featuring savings up to 65 percent. The promotion is valid for Seabourn voyages in Europe departing between June and November 2010. Nine to twelve day voyages on the new Seabourn Sojourn in Northern Europe start from £3,428 per person, cruise-only or £4,390 with inclusive flights.
