Today we are in Bahrain
I will keep todays blog simple.
This is my opinion - I will never get off again in Bahrain.
It was a 40 minute shuttle transfer into town - honest..!!
The ship docks miles away - out on a peninsula.
We paid €6 for the return journey which although is the cheapest return taxi you will ever purchase, there is nothing there.
That is my opinion but there were many who agreed.
The journey back took 25 minutes, but still..!!
My advice is enjoy the sun and stay onboard, chill out swim and sunbathe. (Unless of course you decide on an excursion)
Still all was not lost. Thursday night is gala night and we had a lovely meal in the restaurant and the procession of waiters.
A great end to a pretty poor morning ashore.
Just one thing.....Jessica and myself decided after dinner, to go to see another show. This was called I Have A Dream.
We had no idea what is was about but decided it would be a shame not to try another show.
We sat down at 11:15pm and it turned out to basically be a kind of talent show by the crew, and in a funny kind of way was extremely entertaining and I hate to admit it, we both enjoyed it. It was ENTERTAINING and that is the simple reason it worked.
A good idea by Costa - I think..!!
