Azamara Cruises, Azamara Quest will shortly set sail on the first of its two-night cruises from Miami.
Azamara Cruises continues to zero in on the deluxe market. Its latest it the 594-guest Azamara Quest.
Azamara Cruises was unveiled in May 2007.
Azamara Cruises was created to target an area of the market that is undeserved an "this is ideally suited to fill" said Richard D. Fain chairman and CEO of Azamara Cruises' parent company, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. "This new line falls into the deluxe category - a categury between premium and luxury." Added Zamara Cruises president and CEO Dan Hanrahan.
"Azamara Cruises is expressly designed for experienced travelers who appreciate what a cruise vacation has to offer, but are looking for something a little different, and a little more special. What's special about Azamara Cruises is its pampering and personlalized service, extraordinary cuisine, and off-the-beaten-path destinations, with truly immersive excursions."
Azamara says it visits remote historical and cultural stopovers. Amenities include butlers in every stateroom, resh-cut flowers, plasma TVs and others.
The ships also feature an onboard "excursion expert" who helps select shore excursions based on cruisers' personal interetsts.
