On 30th June 2007 Rebecca, a new member to the Save'n'Sail team took her 1st cruise
onboard P&O Cruises Arcadia. Here is her review...

This was my first ever cruise and I got the chance to cruise on the P&O Arcadia.
On my way to port to embark the ship I was most excited about actually seeing
her in dock as I have never been so close up to a cruise ship like her. It was such
a whirlwind experience for a first time cruiser like me to board the Arcadia. The size
and shape of her blew everyone away. My first impression was fantastic and
throughout my cruise it just got better.

The Arcadia is a lot more elegant and modern than what I expected. She is also an
adult’s only ship which gives her a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere, which just
 suites for a perfect cruise.

My cabin was an outside cabin which had a large picture window. I was so surprised
about the amount of space you had. All the cabins had lovely furnishings and were
fresh and clean, you couldn’t fault them at all.

You could never grow hungry on board. There were several dining restaurants from the
24 hour Belvedere which serving anything you could possibly want, to the main
evening dining restaurant of the Meridian. The level of service in all the restaurants
is great; the waiters can do almost anything for you. There are two superb restaurants
on board which carry a small supplement but well worth the extra. The Arcadian Rhodes,
menus designed by the chef Gary Rhodes, and The Orchid. Both were fabulous but my
favourite was The Orchid - A great place to eat if you want a more oriental and different
taste of food.

In the evenings a must see is the brilliant performances, acts and comedians down at
the palladium. They were fantastic – just to show, sometimes I watched them twice in
one night. There were also many places to go for a drink, my favourite was the Rising Sun,
a great British style pub. Brilliant for socialising with the other passengers.

My overall experience of the cruise was great and I can’t wait to try another one. I would
love to try something different next time, like a fly cruise on a different cruise liner.

Its true when they say, once you’ve done it – You’ll be back to book another!
