Costa Cruises looks to double UK passengers with arrival of new Costa Cruise ship Costa Serena.

Costa Cruises' president, Gianni Onorato, speaking on the preview for Costa's new ship - the 1,500 cabin Costa Serena - said that the company aimed to double UK passenger numbers to 50,000 in the next two years.

Costa aims to have 20% of it's occupancy filled by UK passengers within the next few years and is due to take a decision this summer on UK port stop-overs for the 2009 European cruise season.

Save'n'Sail has some exciting Costa cruise itineraries including the Far East and some excellent winter Barcelona to Canaries and Southern Spain itineraries.
