Passenger rescued by Disney after falling overboard from Carnival Sensation

Crew from the Disney Wonder rescued a man that had gone overboard from the Carnival Sensation on Wednesday night.
The Wonder responded to an emergency call from the Sensation before midnight last night, Disney Cruise Line spokeswoman Christi Erwin Donnan said.
Four crew members in a rescue boat located the man and pulled him from the water at about 12:45 a.m. on Thursday.
In a statement, Carnival said that the 34-year-old man was witnessed jumping overboard from a balcony cabin at about 11:15 p.m.
Both the Wonder and Sensation were returning to Port Canaveral from a four-day Bahamas cruises when the rescue happened.
Donnan said an announcement was made on the Wonder alerting passengers to what was going on. The man returned to Port Canaveral on the Wonder and was transported to a local hospital.
"Carnival wishes to extend its thanks and appreciation to the officers and crew of the Disney Wonder, as well as the U.S. Coast Guard, for their assistance," Carnival said.
