Dubai Water Taxi service at 18 key locations across the city

Anything Venice can do....

Phil: I love this. Having just come back from Dubai and again experienced some heavy traffic during the working week, a water taxi has to be the way forward and something I will look to experience on my next visit.

Dubai now has a competitor for the famous Venetian Vaporetti. An all-new water-taxi service has been launched between 18 key locations around the emirate including Dubai Creek, Atlantis, The Palm and Dubai Marina.

The fast, 11m boats are fitted with 11 airline-style Business Class seats, complete with seat-back LCD screens and will whisk passengers around the water front of Dubai avoiding traffic snarl-ups. Like a conventional car taxi service customers can request pick-ups on demand at the designated locations between 10am and 10pm.

A basic journey costs approx £9 (AED 50) for one stop and the boats are also available for tourist trips at £100 (AED 570) per hour. For a full list of taxi stations and costs see below.
