Drinks prices are very relevant when looking at cruises as you need to know how much to budget for. We had an extremely nasty shock when we went on the IOTS in May this year to find that the cheapest drink was £5 and my vodka and tonic came to £7.50. I understand that they have since reduced the costs of their drinks by 15% on ships sailing out of Southampton.
